Surface, Opencast & Belowground Training Requirements ๐ทโโ๏ธ๐
MVTR Rule 6 ensures that no person is allowed to work in any mine unless they complete the required initial training โ surface, opencast or belowground โ as per the First, Second and Third Schedules. This includes both technical/gallery training and practical hands-on training.
โฐ๏ธ Surface / Opencast Training
โข Must undergo technical + gallery training from the First Schedule.
โข For notified work categories, a minimum of 6 working days of practical training on actual operations is compulsory.

โข Must complete theoretical + gallery training from the Second Schedule.
โข Requires at least 12 working days of practical training.
โข Workers in gassy mines need additional training on the dangers of inflammable gas and safe-handling methods (Third Schedule).
